Manually Adding Google AdSense Code to WordPress Blogs

If you want to make some money online from your websites and blogs, the quickest way to do it is to register with advertising providers and begin displaying advertisements on your website pages.

One of the most popular advertising programs today is Google AdSense. Google AdSense program is free program run by Google.

When your websites or blogs have valuable content and you want to make some money from them, go and register with Google AdSense. If approved for the program you may start earning money in as little as 10 mins.

This blog post is going to show you how to add AdSense ad codes to your websites. Registering and joining the program is one thing.. to make money from the program, you will have to add required codes to your websites before ads can begin to showing up on your pages.

To get that part working, follow the guide below:

Step 1: Join Google AdSense program and get approved.

Before you can start earning money online from Google AdSense, you must first join the program and get approved. After the approval, you will then need to add the advertising codes to your website pages.

Step 2: Add AdSense Codes to your web pages

The next step after the approval is to add AdSense codes to your web pages. There are many ways one can do that.. but the most effective way to do it manually is to use the guide below.

Below is a typical Google Ads code… Google wants you to place this code on all the pages you want ads to run. You can get the codes from your AdSense account under My Ads — > Ad Units

<script async src="//pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js"></script>
<!-- BottomNav -->
<ins class="adsbygoogle"
style="display:inline-block;width:728px;height:90px"
data-ad-client="ca-pub-93337473907421881367"
data-ad-slot="3171414432343336"></ins>
<script>
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
</script>

The highlighted code above will work.. but if you add three of these blocks of code on your web pages, there will be three separate requests to Google’s servers to run the ad units… which may negatively impact your website’s performance.

To properly run three ad units on your pages, add one single script to the website header page and the three ad units can be put on your pages. When you do that, only a single request will be sent to Google to run the three ad units.

To do that, add this line of code in the header file and save.

<script async src="//pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js"></script>

Then add the ad unit three times on the same page or separate pages..

<ins class="adsbygoogle"
style="display:inline-block;width:728px;height:90px"
data-ad-client="ca-pub-93337473907421881367"
data-ad-slot="3171414432343336"></ins>
<script>
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
</script>

Save the page and you’re done. This is the most effective way to manually add Google AdSense codes to your websites.

Enjoy!
