Lesson 11 : Get VirtualBox for Windows Systems
Step 1: Installing VMware Workstation Pro on Windows
Just like VirtualBox, VMware Workstation Pro allows you to run multiple guest machines simultaneously on the same host. An example would be buying a single computer and installing VMware Workstation software to extend the capabilities of that computer to allow you to install other operating systems like Windows, Linux, MacOS and others.
So, VMware Workstation Pro can actually save you money.
Since VMware Workstation isn’t free, you must register and download a copy. You’re allowed to download a trial version and purchase it later after the trial period ends.
To install it, download a copy from the link below. You’ll have to register first.
Then follow the screenshots below to install.
After downloading the executable from VMware’s site, run the installer. When prompted accept the licensing terms and continue.
Then choose the Typical installation. Custom installations are for advanced users.
Continue and enter your license key if you have or skip to trial the software
After this page, continue until the installation is done. When it’s done, launch VMware workstation and begin using it.
That’s it! You’ve now installed VMware Workstation Pro on your Windows machine. From here you can begin install virtual guest machines.
