Install Teams Desktop App via Snap
Teams App can also be installed via Ubuntu snap package management… This might be the quickest way to install Teams. Snaps are applications packaged with all their dependencies to run on all popular Linux distributions from a single build. They update automatically and roll back gracefully…
To install via Snap, run the commands below
sudo apt update sudo apt install snapd sudo snap install teams-for-linux --beta
When you’re done, Teams should be installed and ready to use… To launch it, go to the Activities Overview and search Teams and launch it…

When it opens, type in your Teams’ email address and password to logon…
That’s it!
Congratulations! You have successfully installed Teams for Linux on Ubuntu 16.04 | 18.04..

I am unable to sign in with ubuntu 16.04. In the meanwhile, I am able to sign in using my phone. When I try to sign-in using my desktop it repeatedly says that we are unable to sign you in.
Please resolve it
teams for linux only avail for amd64 … not i386
therefore wont install on my version of ubuntu 18.04 LTS

I am too having this same problem but in my case it is ubuntu 16.04LTS
