This post shows students and new users how to disable the sound when using Windows 11 On-screen or Touch keyboard. Windows tablet devices use the On-screen keyboard to type. Windows PCs that can switch to tablet mode use the Touch keyboard. These keyboards make sound and provide haptic feedback in many cases that might annoy some users.
The On-screen keyboard is a very useful accessibility feature that turns Windows in tablet mode into a device with full keyboard. The one downside of keyboard is the noise and haptic feedback that it makes. This can be annoying for some users, and for those who want to disable it, the steps below will show them how to do that.
There’s also Windows Touch keyboard that is used for PCs with touch screens. Windows tablet devices or PCs in tablet mode will use the touch keyboard which provides the same function.
Both the on-screen and touch screen keyboard make sound. Turning off the sound on both is the same process, and it only takes few clicks.
