System Monitor

To view disk usage and capacity using System Monitor, go to the Activities overview and search for “System Monitor“.

Select the File Systems tab to view the system’s partitions and disk space usage. The information is displayed according to Total, Free, Available and Used.

If you find out that you’re running out of disk space, you can delete files that aren’t important or that you won’t use anymore.

You can also make space by backing up your important files to an external thumb drive and delete them from the hard drive.
