If you’re a student or new user looking for a computer to start learning on, the easiest place to start is Windows 10. Windows 10 is the most recent version of operating systems for personal computers developed and released by Microsoft as part of its Windows NT family.
Windows 10 has grown into one of the best operating systems, years after its release and is used by millions of users around the world.
To get started with customizing Windows Quick access, follow the steps below:
Disable Quick access
Windows automatically adds frequently access files and recent folders to Quick access so they will be easy to find. If you don’t want them to show up, simply disable the feature.
You can also customize Quick access so that it only shows you pinned files and folders. Recent and frequently access files and folders will not automatically be added to the Quick access.
Open Windows File Explorer and go to the View tab, and then select Options.
Choose the option to Open File Explorer to This PC. Then in the Privacy section, clear the checked boxes and select Apply.
This is disable Quick access in Windows.
Pin, Remove Customize Quick access
You can set a folder to show up in Quick access so it’ll be easy to find. Just right-click it and select Pin to Quick access.
Unpin it when you don’t need it there.
You can also customize Quick access to only your pinned folders and turn off recent files or frequent folders that are automatically added to Quick access.
Open Windows File Explorer and go to the View tab, and then select Options. In the Privacy section, clear the check boxes and select Apply.
Now Quick access will only show your pinned folders.
